知識労働者の生産性を上げる
私たちは時代の変化のまっただ中にいる
変化の中にいるのはわかっても、それがどんな変化なのかはわからない
ただ、どうやらインターネットがブロードバンドになり、ウェブが10年かけて進化することで、知識社会になり、私も含めて知識労働者のと呼ばれる存在の生産性が組織の命運を握っているということらしい
生産性の向上を妨げているのは、Druckerが指摘したところのよれば
教育や能力に関係ない仕事に時間をとられすぎている
８割の時間が本来の仕事以外に使われている誰も読みさえしない書類づくり
顧客への対応でなく、コンピュータへの対応
に使われているせいだという。Druckerは知識労働にはまとまった時間が必要だとも言う。自分が成果を上げる方法は、知識労働者自身が考えなければならない。工業社会の常識に染まった経営者にはわからない。とはいえ、自分のことは見えない。ありえるのは、同僚を観察して、あるいは同僚に観察してもらって現状を理解する必要がある
自分自身の成果を定義するところから始まる
